RINSEANDREPEAT

EDIT see entry about my photoshop way of doing things...

Annnnnd having some fun...

Hello! Inspired by a lovely friend to post on photoshop related posts! I thought I would share a pretty simple way to adjust photos to give them more pop with colors and contrast. I don't have photoshop with me now but I believe it is
edit>adjustments>curves
or at least on a apple computer command+m I would guess on PC it would be ctrl+m?

This curve window can be used to adjust highlights, midtones and shadows. try grabbing the curve which creates a point that you can move around to make the shape of the curve and see the resulting effects on the photo. You will notice that the curve on the left (to your left facing the computer) side when adjusted deals with shadows of the photo, while the curve on the right side deals with highlights of the photo. The middle of the curve is you guessed it, the midtones of the photo. Try playing with it--which will make more sense than reading about me babbling on it! It provides alot more control with the photo contrast and exposure than just plain ol' contrast bar which is bleh.

DUECE

Another EDIT below. sorry I keep adding things! eek.
EDIT below

Part two, more to come...
An origami tree
At the palace:

And maybe I don't get to say this enough but I truly appreciate to all who continue to support this blog, silently or not though I really do enjoy the vocal support hehe. Thanks for watching/visiting!

An interesting link:

A lady adopted a coyote and has an online journal of their adventures.

LOGO: Just a note about my new logo! It is a deer with my initial subtly in the antlers. Can you see the "y" and the "r"? :)
I am hoping to try and work towards the new logo. When I think of deer, I think majestic, beautiful, silent strength, connection to it's environment...Hopefully I can portray this in my set of photos. But anyways, I am loving the new logo! :)

A tea story! Maybe just interesting to me, but some may know that I love tea! So of course at work I love to have my own convenient hot water maker. So I got my first one at target. Except I think it was of low quality and so after awhile many of my drinks tasted like the bottom of the kettle (some sort of metal). So I threw it out, and purchased a nicer one. I was at this time continuing to use a paper cup that held coffee from the local coffee place but upon using it too much my drinks tasted like paper. So I was in search of a cute real non paper cup to hold it in, and while browsing a kitchen store, they had a gorgeous cup and saucer set for $5! Usually was $28 for the set. So wheee I was happy and bought it. And now my teas taste like tea instead of metal or paper. yay! :)

CHANCE

There are these wonderful fall trees that I have been seeing year after year telling myself how great it would be to take photos there. But every year I had missed the chance and winter would come and the leaves would fall. But this year, I got my chance and didn't lose it! Funny thing about the shoot, just a couple days later, all the leaves were nearly gone. Definitely a close call to missing out again. Enough talk onto the photos :)

VIEW

RESS PLAY FOR SONG AND SCROLL TO VIEW.

Beautiful song S told me about. Matches with the stunning model :)

I deleted a old blog entry reposted here, I had too many entries with no photos so cleaning up.
Other than that, if this blog is posted as a link on your blog, I truly am honored to be posted as a contact. However, I would like to keep the viewing on this blog to only fellow brothers and sisters. So if your blog does have a audience beyond that of fellow brothers and sisters, can you please remove it? I appreciate it greatly! :) Thank you for understanding.

Oh and Sean so sorry it's a late reply but yeah the italian party is a great idea I'll be glad to help out if you do set it up! :)

TWO

This is when the sun was starting to go down and is one of my favorites series in the bunch with the soft light!

Awhile back when I was again looking for some volunteers to do a photoshoot, I was talking with J who graciously volunteered. Looking back it was maybe 1-2+ years ago and things came up so it was challenging or laziness on my part but I got to collaborate with J for the shoot.
In afterthought, I was glad of the timing for the photoshoot as well-because of how much J has grown to be since then and I hopefully captured some of that on digital "film".

Side note: does anyone know how to work with html coding or know of resources to update the look of the blog? Thanks.
